General information on Hackenberg

Work strengthened with powerful artillery. It is the rough work of the Line maginot.

SF Boulay in 1940

Mission: protection of flanking of the close strengthened works. In June 1940 it is attacked on its backs, but little worried by the German troops (and due!).

The 135mm are bomb throwers. An armour-plate protect them when they are not out of battery.

Launch bombs of 135, in its casemate. As example, a bomb of 135 is exposed to the top of the gun.

Carry armor-plated

This door isolates quartering from M1 (general store with ammunition) in the event of explosion of this last.

The deformation observed, of the bottom of the door, precisely corresponds to the result of an explosion caused by the Germans, with their departure, in 1944.
